				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dr. María Ángeles Moreno, former president of EUPRERA and professor at the Advanced Communication Studies Group of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, together with Dr. Alejandro Álvarez Nobell, </span><b>presented the results of the European Communication Monitor (ECM) and the Latin American Communication Monitor (LCM)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> at an event held in Madrid (Spain), organized by the Asociación de Consultoras de Comunicación (ACD) and the European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This event served as a space for reflection on the current and future challenges of strategic communication and public relations in Europe and Latin America, based on the insights and trends extracted from the chapters of the ECM and LCM, respectively, both of which are internationally renowned studies.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the event, the challenges and opportunities facing communication today were addressed. Dr. Moreno emphasized the need to harness the potential of advanced technology and intelligent use of data to drive innovation in our professional practices.</span></p></div>

Dr. Moreno pointed out the significant challenges that Spain faces in this area and highlighted the importance of cybersecurity training to mitigate risks and protect sensitive information.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Likewise, the report highlighted the growing importance of continuous training in the professional development of communicators. Moreno stressed the need for agencies and communication departments to invest in effective training programs that allow professionals to acquire new skills and competencies relevant to the current market.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the other hand, the Latin American Communication Monitor (LCM) 2022-2023, presented by Alejandro Álvarez Nobell, director of the study and research professor at the University of Malaga, offers a unique insight into emerging trends in Latin America. Unlike the European ECM, the Latin American LCM highlights the importance of social responsibility, sustainability, and equity in corporate communication.</span></p></div>

Mª Ángeles Moreno, ex presidenta de EUPRERA y catedrática del Grupo de Estudios Avanzados en Comunicación de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, junto con el Dr. Alejandro Álvarez Nobell,</span><b> presentaron los resultados del European Communication Monitor (ECM) y del Latin American Communication Monitor (LCM)</b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">en un evento celebrado en Madrid (España), organizado por la Asociación de Consultoras de Comunicación (ACD) y la European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA).</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Este evento sirvió como un espacio de reflexión sobre los desafíos actuales y futuros de la comunicación estratégica y las relaciones públicas en Europa y Latinoamérica, basándose en los conocimientos y tendencias extraídos de los capítulos del ECM y LCM, respectivamente, siendo ambos estudios de renombre internacional.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Durante el evento, se abordaron los</span><b> desafíos y oportunidades que enfrenta la comunicación en la actualidad.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> La Dra. Moreno enfatizó la necesidad de aprovechar el potencial de la tecnología avanzada y el uso inteligente de los datos para impulsar la innovación en nuestras prácticas profesionales.</span></p></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Un aspecto destacado del European Communication Monitor (ECM) es su enfoque en la ciberseguridad, un elemento crucial para garantizar la integridad y eficacia de nuestras comunicaciones en un mundo cada vez más digitalizado. La Dra. Moreno señaló los desafíos significativos que enfrenta España en este ámbito y destacó la importancia de la formación en ciberseguridad para mitigar riesgos y proteger la información sensible.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Asimismo, el informe resaltó la importancia creciente de la formación continua en el desarrollo profesional de los comunicadores. Moreno subrayó la necesidad de que agencias y departamentos de comunicación inviertan en programas de formación efectivos que permitan a los profesionales adquirir nuevas habilidades y competencias relevantes para el mercado actual.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Por otro lado, el Latin American Communication Monitor (LCM) 2022-2023, presentado por Alejandro Álvarez Nobell, director del estudio y profesor investigador en la Universidad de Málaga, ofrece una visión única sobre las tendencias emergentes en América Latina. A diferencia del ECM europeo, el LCM latinoamericano resalta la importancia de la responsabilidad social, la sostenibilidad y la equidad en la comunicación corporativa.</span></p></div>

Estas tendencias nos invitan a reflexionar sobre el papel crucial que desempeñamos como comunicadores y la necesidad de adaptarnos a los desafíos emergentes con innovación y creatividad.</span></p></div>

A Dra. Moreno destacou os desafios significativos que a Espanha enfrenta nessa área e destacou a importância da formação em cibersegurança para mitigar riscos e proteger informações sensíveis.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Da mesma forma, o relatório destacou a crescente importância da formação contínua no desenvolvimento profissional dos comunicadores. Moreno enfatizou a necessidade de que agências e departamentos de comunicação invistam em programas de formação eficazes que permitam aos profissionais adquirir novas habilidades e competências relevantes para o mercado atual.</span></p>

Ao contrário do ECM europeu, o LCM latino-americano destaca a importância da responsabilidade social, sustentabilidade e equidade na comunicação corporativa.</span></p></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">O compromisso com o rigor metodológico e a qualidade teórica do Latin American Communication Monitor permitiu, em </span><b>10 anos e 5 edições bienais</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, tornar-se a mais completa RADIAGRAFIA DA PROFISSÃO E DAS TENDÊNCIAS DA COMUNICAÇÃO ESTRATÉGICA E RELAÇÕES PÚBLICAS da região.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Na edição 2022-2023 do estudo, participaram </span><b>1.134 profissionais de 20 países, </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">com uma amostra comparativa entre 13 deles: Argentina, Bolívia, Brasil, Chile, Colômbia, Costa Rica, Equador, México, Peru, Porto Rico, República Dominicana, Uruguai e Venezuela. Os dados obtidos fornecem evidências sobre o debate em relação à diversidade, equidade e inclusão (DEI), liderança empática; a digitalização dos departamentos de comunicação e agências (CommTech); os temas estratégicos que moldam a profissão; as dinâmicas e desafios da consultoria em comunicação; salários; e as características de excelentes departamentos de comunicação.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A partir do trabalho de pesquisa realizado, a equipe do LCM também contribui para o avanço do campo disciplinar,</span><b> legitimando os padrões de qualidade científica do estudo com a publicação de seus resultados, debates e abordagens teóricas nas principais publicações científicas de alto impacto na área de comunicação.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Aqui estão três das recentes publicações obtidas:</span></p>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><h2><b>Uma pesquisa internacional modelo em termos de alcance e rigor teórico-metodológico</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Na última edição, o questionário online consistiu em</span><b> 36 perguntas</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, com cinco exclusivas para profissionais em departamentos de comunicação. Foram utilizadas uma variedade de escalas de resposta e fundamentadas em pesquisas anteriores. O questionário, apresentado em espanhol e português, foi testado com 86 profissionais em cinco países latino-americanos antes de sua ativação em maio, junho e julho de 2022. Foram convidados 37.222 profissionais em toda a América Latina através de e-mails pessoais e associações profissionais.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Para a análise dos dados, foi utilizado o </span><b>SPSS</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, empregando métodos estatísticos específicos descritos nas notas de rodapé do relatório. Inicialmente, 2.740 pessoas responderam, das quais 1.225 completaram a pesquisa 100%. Destas, </span><b>1.134 respostas de 20 países </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">foram estatisticamente válidas seguindo um rigoroso perfil de amostra. Essa seleção distingue o Monitor de outros estudos que utilizam amostragens mais amplas ou incluem pessoas fora da profissão.</span></p></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><h3><b>A situação e a percepção sobre a profissão nos principais mercados da América Latina</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A demografia revela a alta qualidade da amostra, que é dominada por profissionais de alto nível com sólida formação e longa experiência no campo, proporcionando um conhecimento detalhado para 13 mercados-chave. A maioria dos entrevistados (75%) é da América do Sul, seguida pela América Central e Caribe (19%) e América do Norte (6%).</span></p></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">O 63% de mulheres na pesquisa inclui um 59% de diretoras de comunicação ou CEO de agências, 68% em cargos de chefia de equipe ou unidade, e 71% como membros de equipe ou consultores, com idade média de 41,5 anos. 2% têm formação de doutorado, 56% têm mestrado e 32% são graduados. Além disso, 14% participam de associações profissionais internacionais.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Em termos de cargos, 26% dirigem departamentos ou são CEOs, 35% ocupam cargos de chefia de equipe ou unidade, e 36% trabalham em equipes ou realizam consultoria. Com mais de 10 anos de experiência, 62% dos entrevistados refletem um cenário de trabalho estável, enquanto 19% têm entre 6 e 10 anos de experiência.</span></p></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The commitment to methodological rigor and theoretical quality of the Latin American Communication Monitor has allowed it, in </span><b>10 years and 5 biennial editions</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, to become the most comprehensive «RADIOGRAPHY OF THE PROFESSION AND TRENDS IN STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION AND PUBLIC RELATIONS» in the region.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the 2022-2023 edition of the study, </span><b>1,134 professionals from 20 countries </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">participated, with a comparative sample from 13 of them: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The data obtained provide evidence on the debate regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), empathetic leadership; the digitalization of communication departments and agencies (CommTech); strategic issues shaping the profession; dynamics and challenges of communication consultancy; salaries; and characteristics of excellent communication departments. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Based on the research work carried out, the LCM team also contributes to the advancement of the disciplinary field, </span><b>legitimizing the scientific quality standards of the study with the publication of its results, debates, and theoretical approaches in the main high-impact scientific publications for communication.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Here are three recent publications obtained:</span></p>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><h3><b>An internationally model research for its scope and theoretical-methodological rigor</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the latest edition, the online questionnaire consisted of </span><b>36 questions</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, with five exclusive for professionals in communication departments. A variety of response scales were used, grounded in previous research. The survey, presented in Spanish and Portuguese, was tested with 86 professionals in five Latin American countries before its activation in May, June, and July 2022. </span><b>37,222 professionals</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> across Latin America were invited via personal emails and professional associations.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">For data analysis, </span><b>SPSS</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> was used, employing specific statistical methods described in the footnotes of the report. Initially, 2,740 people responded, of which 1,225 completed the survey 100%. Of these, </span><b>1,134 responses from 20 countries</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> were statistically valid following a rigorous sample profile. This selection distinguishes the Monitor from other studies that use broader samplings or include people outside the profession.</span></p></div>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Demographics reveal the high quality of the sample, dominated by high-level professionals with solid qualifications and extensive experience in the field, providing detailed knowledge for </span><b>13 key markets. </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">The majority of respondents (75%) are from South America, followed by Central America and the Caribbean (19%), and North America (6%).</span></p></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The 63% of women in the survey includes 59% of communication directors or agency CEOs, 68% in team or unit leadership, and 71% as team members or consultants, with an average age of 41.5 years. 2% have a doctoral degree, 56% have master&#8217;s degrees, and 32% are graduates. Additionally, 14% participate in international professional associations.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In terms of positions, 26% lead departments or are CEOs, 35% hold team or unit leadership positions, and 36% work in teams or consultancy. With over 10 years of experience, 62% of respondents reflect a stable job market, while 19% have between 6 and 10 years of experience.</span></p></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">El compromiso con el rigor metodológico y la calidad teórica del Latin American Communication Monitor le ha permitido en </span><b>10 años y 5 ediciones bienales</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, convertirse en la más completa RADIOGRAFÍA DE LA PROFESIÓN Y LAS TENDENCIAS DE LA COMUNICACIÓN ESTRATÉGICA Y LAS RELACIONES PÚBLICAS de la región.  </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">En la edición 2022-2023 del estudio han participado </span><b>1.134 profesionales de 20 países </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">con una muestra comparativa entre 13 de ellos: Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, México, Perú, Puerto Rico, República Dominicana, Uruguay y Venezuela. Los datos obtenidos </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">aportan evidencia sobre el debate respecto de la diversidad, equidad e inclusión (DEI), el liderazgo empático; la digitalización de los departamentos de comunicación y las agencias (CommTech); los temas estratégicos que moldean la profesión; las dinámicas y retos de la consultoría en comunicación; los salarios; y las características de departamentos excelentes de comunicación. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A partir del trabajo de investigación realizado, el equipo del LCM también contribuye al avance del campo disciplinar, </span><b>logrando legitimar los estándares de calidad científicos del estudio con la publicación de sus resultados, debates y enfoques teóricos en las principales publicaciones científicas de alto impacto para la comunicación</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">. 				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><h3><b>Una investigación internacional modelo por su alcance y rigor teórico-metodológico.</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">En la última edición, el cuestionario en línea constó de </span><b>36 preguntas</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, con cinco exclusivas para profesionales en departamentos de comunicación. Se utilizó una variedad de escalas de respuesta y se fundamentó en investigaciones previas. La encuesta, presentada en español y portugués, fue probada con 86 profesionales en cinco países latinoamericanos antes de su activación en mayo, junio y julio de 2022. Se invitó a </span><b>37.222 profesionales</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> en toda América Latina a través de correos electrónicos personales y asociaciones profesionales.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Para el análisis de datos se utilizó </span><b>SPSS</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, empleando métodos estadísticos específicos descritos en las notas al pie del informe. Inicialmente respondieron 2.740 personas de las cuales, 1.225 completaron la encuesta al 100%. De estas, </span><b>1.134 respuestas de 20 países</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> fueron válidas estadísticamente siguiendo un riguroso perfil de muestra. Esta selección distingue al Monitor de otros estudios que usan muestreos más amplios o incluyen a personas fuera de la profesión. </span></p></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><h3><b>La situación y percepción sobre la profesión en los principales mercados de Latam</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">La demografía revela la alta calidad de la muestra, que está dominada por profesionales de alto nivel con una sólida calificación y una larga trayectoria en el campo, aportando un conocimiento detallado para </span><b>13 mercados clave.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> La mayoría de las personas encuestadas (75 %) son de Sudamérica, seguido de Centroamérica y Caribe (19 %) y de Norteamérica (6 %). </span></p></div>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">El 63% de mujeres en la encuesta incluye un 59% de directoras de comunicación o CEO de agencias, un 68% en jefaturas de equipo o unidad, y un 71% como miembros de equipo o consultoras, con una edad promedio de 41.5 años. Un 2% tiene formación de doctorado, el 56% estudios de maestría y el 32% es graduado/a. Además, el 14% participa en asociaciones profesionales internacionales. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">En términos de cargos, el 26% dirige departamentos o es CEO, el 35% ocupa jefaturas de equipo o unidad, y el 36% trabaja en equipos o hace consultoría. Con más de 10 años de experiencia, el 62% de las personas encuestadas refleja un panorama laboral estable, mientras que el 19% tiene entre 6 y 10 años de experiencia.</span></p></div>
